Rose & Cardamom
A Persian afternoon, poured into a single glass.

This is the Black Gold Earl Grey base — whole-leaf, low-grown Ceylon lifted with organic cold-pressed Italian bergamot, bitter orange, and neroli — married to organic rose petals and green cardamom, folded in by hand.
Rose and cardamom have scented Persian life for generations: golab sprinkled at weddings, cardamom warming everything it touches. Here they sit over a genuine whole-leaf base, not dust — floral, warming, and faintly sweet before a single grain of sugar.
It is the cup that turns an ordinary afternoon into an occasion.
“Rose and cardamom have perfumed Persian tea for centuries.”
Tasting notes
in the glass
A soft, perfumed lift — the scent of a Shiraz courtyard. Present, but never soapy, because it is real petals rather than oil.
Warm and faintly citrusy, almost piney, with a cooling finish that keeps the rose honest.
Bright Italian citrus and orange blossom — the unmistakable Earl Grey signature underneath it all.
A brisk, coppery black-tea base, bold enough to carry the flowers and the spice without buckling.
Ingredients & sourcing
How to brew it
A quick splash of hot water over the leaves, swirled and poured off. It wakes the leaf and washes away any dust.
One heaping teaspoon of whole leaf per cup, plus “one for the pot.”
Bring fresh water to a boil, then let it settle for thirty seconds — about 200°F / 95°C — so it never scalds the leaf.
Four to five minutes: the Persian dam, until the brew runs deep red and aromatic.
Pour it clear — no milk. A sugar cube held on the tongue, a date, or a wedge of citrus alongside. Then, simply, stay.
Specifications
Serve it the Persian way — poured from a strong concentrate and diluted to taste, a sugar cube held between the teeth, with dates or a plate of Persian sweets. It is a tea made for company, and for lingering.
Good to know
Yes — it’s a full black tea, so moderate caffeine, roughly half a cup of coffee. Steep it a touch lighter for the evening.
You can, but we serve it clear so the rose and cardamom stay bright. If you take milk, add just a splash.
Real organic rose petals, folded in by hand — never a sprayed-on flavouring oil.
Whole leaf, always — no bags, no dust. That’s what lets the flavour stay round instead of turning harsh.
Airtight, cool, and out of the light. Keep it away from the stove and the window and it will hold beautifully.
